Dragonkind Login and Retry Help
Start by identifying which screen is blocking you. A delayed login email, a post-death cooldown timer, and a future-feature countdown all look similar at a glance but require completely different responses.
Match what you see on screen
| What you see | Start here |
|---|---|
| You cannot enter because the verification code has not arrived | Missing login code |
| You died during a run and Threshing shows time remaining | Death and the retry timer |
| The page loops, freezes, or fails to load properly | Page-loading problems |
| A long multi-day countdown mentions signets | Signet countdown |
Missing login code
Official explanation: login codes are sent out in batches, so delivery is not always instant. Rebecca Yarros’s FAQ specifically advises checking your spam or junk folder (Official FAQ[s02]).
Double-check that the email address you typed matches the inbox you are refreshing, then check spam, promotions, and filtered tabs. A delay does not automatically mean your email address failed, and the official FAQ does not promise a specific delivery window.
If you already registered an account earlier, make sure you use the returning-rider entry on the official site[s01]. Only enter your verification code on dragonkind.com. Never paste it into third-party guides or sites claiming to unlock specific dragons.
Death and the retry timer
The retry wait is in hours, not minutes. The official FAQ says you can try again after “a few hours” (Official wording[s02]). Parade reports a four-hour wait (Four-hour report[s03]). So a timer showing 4:00 means four hours, not four minutes.
The good news from the official FAQ is that you can keep retrying until you successfully bond a dragon. There is no cap on how many times you can die. However, the FAQ does not provide any way to swap or replace your dragon once a bond is completed (Official FAQ[s02]).
When your wait finishes, sign back in through the normal returning-rider entry. If you are still blocked, write down the exact message before assuming the site is broken. Wiping your browser cache or cookies is not a verified cooldown bypass.
Page-loading problems
The steps below are general browser checks, not confirmed fixes for a specific server outage. This guide does not monitor live server status.
First, copy down any visible error message and note whether the freeze happened during login or mid-encounter. Check your internet connection and navigate to the official address directly. If you are in the middle of an active Threshing scene, avoid hammering the refresh button. It is not clear whether mid-scene progress recovers cleanly on reload.
Next, check whether your browser or privacy extension is blocking cookies on the official domain. The site’s published policy notes that session cookies support core functionality and that disabling them can break features (Official policy[s01]). You only need to check site permissions for dragonkind.com rather than turning off browser protection globally or wiping all saved data.
If the issue continues, note the time, time zone, browser version, and what screen you were on, then check the official FAQ[s02] or official social channels before assuming the game is down for everyone.
Signet countdown
Seeing a long countdown that mentions signets does not mean your failed-run retry timer lasts until the next content drop. A community moderator recap of the author’s announcement links signets to May 9, without stating a specific year or time zone (Community announcement recap[s18]).
This guide has not independently verified an exact release timestamp or how signets currently appear inside a bonded account. Rely on the notice inside your own logged-in account rather than treating an undated “May 9” post as an official clock.
