Dragonkind Threshing Choices
Find your scene
This scene map follows u/Unlucky-Machine-3160’s community branch overview (Original branch report[s05]). It is a practical navigation index, not an exhaustive map or a ranking of the safest routes.
| Scene or available choice | Reported branch | Instructions |
|---|---|---|
| Continue toward the valley center | A red-dragon encounter | Valley-center red |
| Descend the tree slowly toward the greens | Two greens; possible intervention by another dragon | Two-green clearing |
| Descend the tree quickly | Red below the tree | Tree red |
| A third option mentions a shadow to the west | Blue encounter, with a reported continuation to black | Tree-shadow route |
| Pass on the valley red and continue into the meadow | Brown or orange; blue reported on some runs |
Valley-center red
Use this card when: you reached the valley center and the narrative frames the red dragon as one that could be yours, not when you are up in a tree watching a red walk underneath you.
| Step | Reported choice |
|---|---|
| 1 | Decide that this is your dragon. |
| 2 | Confirm that you are sure. |
| 3 | Continue approaching. |
| 4 | Touch its talon. |
Reported result: a red bond. This sequence is listed as community-mapped by Dragonkindgame.wiki, a secondary guide, and has not been independently replayed for this page. That guide’s claim that this route is the “most reliable” is not adopted here because comparable success-rate data does not exist (Secondary route record[s06]).
Two-green clearing
Use this card when: two green dragons are in front of you and the prompts ask you to pick a side, react to movement, and name your greatest weakness.
One detailed run logged by u/alysannex followed this exact sequence:
| Prompt | Choice in the reported run |
|---|---|
| Which green to face | The left dragon |
| The right dragon moves | Keep attention on the left; do not look over |
| The left dragon threatens a tail swipe | Stay still |
| Greatest weakness | The option claiming to have no weaknesses |
Reported result: an orange dragon intervened and bonded, producing an orange clubtail rather than a green (Original report[s07]).
However, the weakness answer is not a proven color selector. A second player chose the admission about believing they are right even when wrong and also reported an orange rescue (Orange counterexample[s08]). A third player chose overextending themselves and reported bonding with the other green dragon, though their post omits the earlier steps (Green outcome[s09]).
Practical takeaway: treat the table above as one recorded run rather than a “choose left to get orange” rule. Write down the exact weakness wording you pick so two different runs don’t get lumped together.
Tree red
Use this card when: you descended the tree quickly and have the option to jump onto the red dragon directly beneath you.
Player u/kimmariee_ reported bonding a red dragon after jumping onto its back, surviving the landing, lying flat while it directed fire along its spine, and crawling forward into the seat once it took flight. Notably, the same player reported dying at the jump on an earlier attempt (Original report[s10]).
| You have reached… | Choice in the successful report |
|---|---|
| The drop above the red | Jump onto its back |
| A successful landing and the fire prompt | Lie flat rather than jump off and run |
| The dragon taking flight | Crawl into the seat rather than only hang on |
Treat this as a risky reported branch, not a recommended shortcut. The successful run proves the jump is not an automatic death, but it does not tell us how often the landing succeeds.
Brown tail encounter
Use this card when: a brown dragon crosses your path and gives you the chance to climb its tail.
Player u/pawsfeathersscales reported jumping onto the tail and climbing up. When challenged about what would happen without the dragon’s acceptance, they picked the reply stating that being already up there made the question moot. That run ended in a brown bond (Original report[s11]).
This is a late-stage record: the poster did not log their full approach from the start of the forest. Do not force these answers onto a different brown encounter that presents different movement or dialogue options.
Orange meadow encounter
Use this card when: you are choosing between the brown and orange dragons in the meadow, not when an orange intervenes during the two-green clearing scene.
Player u/BeautyBoxCar documented two separate outcomes after repeating their exact choices up to roaring at the orange dragon:
| Attempt | What followed the roar |
|---|---|
| Earlier run | The dragon swiped; the player ran toward its claw and was incinerated. |
| Later run | The dragon reacted with surprise instead, and the run ended in a bond. |
While that comparison doesn’t prove why the dragon’s reaction shifted, it clearly shows why “roar back, then always climb” is overconfident advice: the follow-up scene itself can change. Read how the dragon reacts on your screen before committing to your next move (Original comparison[s12]).
Does saving the cadet block an orange bond?
Treat that claim as an unproven theory rather than a rule requiring you to abandon the injured cadet. Community mapper u/ClumsyBadger formally retracted an earlier color rule tied to saving cadets and the bullies’ fate after players submitted counterexamples (Edited mapping notes[s16]). A single successful sequence proves what happened on one run, not that every earlier decision was mandatory.
